2010 TANNER-VANDEPUT-BOSWICK BURN PRIZE INSTRUCTIONS
The 2010 Tanner-Vandeput-Boswick Burn Prize will be awarded during the 15th Congress of the International Society for Burn Injuries to be held in 2010. Applications to be accepted in 2009.
Purpose of the Award: The Prize was conceived and established to promote the aims of the International Society for Burn Injuries and to motivate individual investigators to perform research, undertake patient care and treatment, and attempt to solve other aspects of the burn problem.
Eligibility: The prize will be awarded to a person (or persons) who have made an outstanding contribution to any aspect of the burn care field. This could be a specific achievement or might represent a body of work over a period of years. Colleagues may make nominations, or a candidate may make application on their own behalf. The recipient does not have to be a member of the ISBI nor a physician, but be responsible for major advancement of the field of burn care.
Award: The prize consists of a gold pin, and a cash payment in the amount of approximately $100,000.
Nomination Deadline: January 30, 2010.
How do I nominate? Nominations must consist of:
- Completed application form (application form will be made available on this site in 2009)
- One-Page summary detailing research and accomplishments of nominee
- Curriculum vitae, including a list of publications
- Letter of nomination
- 2 additional letters of support
